On Thursday, January 9, 2025, the Brotherhood of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. came together in unity at Bistro 781 in Waltham, MA to celebrate our Founders’ Day.
This year’s celebration was especially meaningful as it brought together all Boston-area Sigma chapters under one roof. Brothers from across the city and surrounding communities gathered in fellowship, honoring the vision of our Founders—A. Langston Taylor, Leonard F. Morse, and Charles I. Brown—and reaffirming our shared commitment to Culture for Service, Service for Humanity.
The evening’s success was made possible in part by our hosts at Bistro 781, a Black-owned business that welcomed us with warmth, professionalism, and outstanding service. Their partnership and support amplified the spirit of the celebration, and we are proud to uplift and support local Black-owned establishments in the Greater Boston community.
The energy in the room was undeniable. What began as a night of remembrance and reflection quickly became a moment of revival and resurgence. This gathering rekindled the bonds of Sigma brotherhood in Boston and laid a strong foundation for the culture of Sigma in our city moving forward.
Brothers shared stories, laughter, and reflections on the impact of Sigma throughout the years while looking toward the bright future of our organization in Greater Boston. The celebration was more than an event—it was a declaration that Sigma is here, Sigma is strong, and Sigma is united.

As we continue into 2025, this Founders’ Day serves as the spark that will guide our chapter and our brothers across Boston in building a legacy of service, leadership, and cultural impact for years to come.
